05 — RETURN
Receive Grace
Grace gives salvation and leads into a new life of obedience.
01 — READ
Ephesians 2:8–10
Read Ephesians 2:8–10. Look for the order in the passage: grace, salvation, new life, and good works.
02 — UNDERSTAND
The order is not obedience, worthiness, then salvation. It is grace, salvation, new life, then obedience.
Good works do not purchase God’s welcome. They are the fruit of the new life God gives in Christ.
03 — REFLECT
Be honest before God.
- Where am I trying to earn what God gives by grace?
- How could receiving grace change the way I obey today?
Keep your answers private. Speak to God or write in a notebook.
04 — PRAY
Speak honestly to God.
Use these words as a starting place, not as a formula.
Father, thank You that salvation is Your gift through Jesus Christ. Deliver me from trying to earn Your welcome. Form new life in me, and let obedience grow from grateful trust. Amen.
05 — RESPOND
Practice one faithful step.
- Thank God for one gift of grace you did not earn.
- Do one good work today—not to prove yourself, but as a grateful response to Jesus.
06 — CONTINUE
Next, receive the welcome of God and see why coming home is a beginning.
