03 — REMAIN
Learn to Pray
Prayer is a relationship with the Father before it is a list of requests.
01 — READ
Matthew 6:5–13
Read Matthew 6:5–13. Notice how Jesus teaches His followers to come honestly and simply to the Father.
02 — UNDERSTAND
Prayer is not a performance. You do not need perfect words to come before God. Through Jesus, you can speak honestly to the Father.
A simple rhythm can help you make space to listen and respond. It does not make God closer; He is already near.
03 — REFLECT
Be honest before God.
- Do I come to God as my Father, or only when I need something?
- What do I want to say honestly to God today?
Keep your answers private. Speak to God or write in a notebook.
04 — PRAY
Speak honestly to God.
Use these words as a starting place, not as a formula.
Father, thank You that I can come to You through Jesus. Teach me to pray with trust, truth, and love. Help me listen to Your Word and obey what You show me. Amen.
05 — RESPOND
Practice one faithful step.
- Try this simple 30-minute rhythm this week: 10 minutes Scripture, 10 minutes prayer, 5 minutes quiet reflection, and 5 minutes for one response or act of obedience.
- If 30 minutes is too much today, begin with five honest minutes. Return tomorrow.
06 — CONTINUE
Next, see how remaining in Jesus leads to obedience.
