Obey What Jesus Says

John 15:9–10

Read John 15:9–10. Notice that Jesus speaks about remaining in His love and keeping His commands.

02 — UNDERSTAND

Obedience does not buy the love of God. Jesus loves us first. His love changes what we want and what we do.

Often the next faithful step is small and clear: tell the truth, forgive, stop hiding, make peace, serve someone, or turn away from sin.

03 — REFLECT

Be honest before God.

• What is my next act of obedience?
• What have I already learned from Jesus but not yet practiced?

Keep your answers private. Speak to God or write in a notebook.

04 — PRAY

Speak honestly to God.

Use these words as a starting place, not as a formula.

Jesus, thank You for loving me first. Show me my next clear step. Give me courage to obey You with humility and love. Amen.

05 — RESPOND

Practice one faithful step.

• Name one act of obedience. Write it in a simple sentence: “Jesus is asking me to ____.”
• Do it today, or choose a clear time to do it. If you need help, ask a trusted mature Christian or pastor.
